This is my favorite picture of Aidan. I don't know why I like it so much, but every time I see it, it makes me smile. It's funny how he has those worry lines on his forehead (which everyone says that Craig has them too) and he is just looking at as like "What is wrong with you people?" HaHa..I love it.

Christmas

Here's Aidan opening his gifts. He had no interest in Christmas what-so-ever this year, but I know next year he'll be ripping the wrapping off and playing with the boxes instead of the toys!!

A few years ago we started a tradition to cut down down our own Christmas tree every year, and we usually travelled about 2 hours out west to do this. Well, this year we found a place right down the street, but they charged $10 a foot, and the minimum was 6 feet. We decided we didn't want to pay $60 for a tree, so we bought one already cut. We took this picture of Aidan at the tree patch so we could say we cut down our own tree...we're horrible! haha

Night Out

This was our first night out without Aidan. Craig and I were invited to my friend Jens 30th birthday party, and even though it was hard to pull me away from the baby, I knew I needed a break. I called up my sis and she happily agreed to take Aidan for the night, the whole night! (we ended up staying at my parents, so I sleepily woke up with Aidan during the night) Jens birthday was a themed party, it was something like "around the world" and we went to La Scala in Randolph, its an Italian restaurant, which I had never been too. The food was SO yummy! Then we headed to some chinese restaurant in Abington. I wish I remember the name (it's across from Timber Lanes) they did the place all over, and it was a pretty neat place to go too. Next was Mexico, so we headed to Acapulcos in Weymouth. The salsa and guacamole was fantastic here! All this traveling was so her family could set up a surprise party at a hall in Braintree. It was a great night!!

Oh, and for all those wondering how I did leaving Aidan, I did call them a few times to see how things were going, but not as much as I would of liked. I didn't want to drive the sitter crazy so she wouldn't babysit again. Craig was watching football, so he did fine..haha

3 months old!

I can't believe it, but Aidan is now 3 months old! He is such a happy baby, and we enjoy every minute we get to spend with him! He loves to lie on his back and kick his leg while talking to his stuffed animals or his mom and dad. He's just finding that his hands can go in his mouth, and it's pretty funny to watch him trying to stuff his fists in there. He hasn't found his thumb yet, but we think that may happen soon.
Thanks to Missy for this cute Pooh bear. Each month I take a picture with Aidan next to him so we can see just how big Aidan is getting. Too bad I don't know how to rotate the picture.

Happy Halloween from Tigger

Our first big day out was to Trunk or Treat. I was technically still supposed to be recouperating, but since Halloween is my favorite holiday, I just had to get Aidan dressed up and take him out.

Coming Home

Aidan is ready to go home. Craig and I were so happy to be leaving, we had been at SSH for over a week. We get wheeled down to the lobby and Craig goes to get the car, its dead. He had left the lights on the night before...haha So after he got a jump, we were ready to go!!

Introducing Aidan Robert Donahue...

On Wednesday October 10th I went to my doctors appointment and I was told my blood pressure was a little high, so I had to get some blood tests done. The next day the doctor called and told me the blood work was o.k, but to come in for a stress test to check how the baby was doing. My blood pressure was up even more, but the baby was doing good. They sent me to South Shore hospital for more tests. Once we got there my blood pressure skyrocketed and the doctors felt it was time for the baby to come out. I was then sent to a birthing room, and got ready to be induced. The first night they gave me the cervadil (sp?) and the next morning started with the pitocin.. nothing. That night more cervadil and the next day more pitocin...my water broke that night and I started getting some good contractions, we were getting pretty excited, then round 10pm they stopped. Urgh! Sunday morning the doctor came in to check how I was doing, and since there was no progress and my blood pressure was still high, they decided to give me a c-section. Within the next half hour I was being taken to the OR, and getting ready to have a baby. I was a little nervous, but after being in the hospital for 3 days at that point, I was SO ready to get it over with!! Aidan was born on October 14th at 9:28am, he was 6lbs 12 ounces and was 19 inches. Even though he was 4 weeks early he needed no help from doctors at all, and we were so relieved.
