Today Emily, Nana M, Skye, Aidan, Aubrey and I went to CN Smith Farm for some apple picking!

The kids looked so thrilled to be getting their pictures taken.

We are sad another summer has flown by. Our last boating day of the season was the beginning of September. We had a great day out on the lake with the Smith family. We got lots of swimming, boarding, and tubing in before the day was over.

On Mondays Aidan has preschool and I wanted to get a quick picture before he left. He wasn't too thrilled about it. Pretty soon the school year will be over... time is flying by!

Today we went to the little carnival in the center of town. We saw it from the street, so when Aidan spotted the helicopters, it was the fisrt ride he wanted to go on. Mom, Dad, and Aidan on the Merry Go Round.

Today we ventured to the Landing.
We saw them decorating the Trees.
Next we headed on a boat ride.

We saw this lighthouse which Aidan loved.

We journeyed farther to a little waterfall.

We kept walking on a little path.

We found chairs to relax in along the way.

We ended up at a cute little playground.

Afterwards we met nana and papa and went out to dinner at Carabba's.

Day 2

This morning we started the day out with a golf cart ride. Aidan LOVES the golf cart.

Afterwards we took a trip to Target and Panera Bread with Nana for lunch.

Aidan loves his Panera cookies.

Next we headed to this cute store. It was decorated for Christmas now, and it was tons of trees in different themes. Outside of the store they had this huge santa. I couldn't resist taking a picture of Aidan with him.

I LOVED this fall decoration they made. I took a picture for next years decorating ideas.

After dinner Aidan and Grandpa went for a ride in the golf cart...

Adventures in Florida- Day One

THE VILLAGES — Golf-cart drivers are hoping to shatter their record in the Guinness Book of World Records as they work toward a good cause — helping wounded military heroes who served in Afghanistan and Iraq.

Today we participated in the 2010 Villages Golf Cart Parade. Aidan is checking out the "fire truck" golf cart.

The owner of the truck was giving away firman hats and lollipops to the kids participating, and watching the parade.

During the parade we stopped a few times. The people behind us had lollipops and asked if Aidan wanted one. He jumped out of our cart and ran to the cart and hopped in.

After the festivities we headed to Gators for some food.

We made a wuick stop at the store and we saw this in the parking lot. Nana had a great idea for Aidan to put on his firemans hat and take a picture next to the truck.

Florida Bound

Saturday morning we went to our favorite breakfast place, Pogo's, then we headed to RI for Aidan and I to get on a plane to Florida.

And the after-math. Aidan did so well on the flight. We watched some of a movie, played video games, and played with trains. As soon as we got outside of the airport to wait for our ride, he fell asleep! Luckily we had a carseat/carriage in one.

Once we got to Nana and Grandpa's he woke up and ran around non-stop. While getting ready for bed, he tried on Nana's cowboy hat...

Time Change

We are all having a hard time getting used to the time change around here..

Aidan fell asleep in his playroom at 6pm (bedtime is usually 8pm) Craig and I are falling asleep at 8pm on the couch ourselves. Then Aidan and I are up all night... Praying for a goods night sleep tonight!!

Friday we took a trip with playgroup to a local farm...

We got to watch as the cook made muffins in the kitchen. She let each kid scoop some batter into the muffin tins.

While we waited for the muffins to cook, we were supposed to go on a hayride but the weather was not cooperating so they showed us some pumpkins, and squash that they grow on the farm.

We waited patiently as they popped some popcorn for us to try.

We waited again for our muffins to come out of the oven.

The car ride home: The movie CARS in the DVD player, and some M&Ms ..

Plymouth Rock

Tuesday night I have a church activity, so Aidan gets to sepnd the night with Daddy. They decided to go to Plymouth Harbor for something to do...

When I saw Aidan he told me about the HUGE rock he saw, and the HUGE pirate ship!

Trunk or Treat!!

The only picture I got from our church's Trunk or Treat... I guess we were having too much fun to take pictures!

We ate a nice potluck dinner, followed by a "haunted house" done by the Young Women and Young Men. They did such a great job! The little kids had so much fun! Then it was outside for the candy! Aidan and Colton went around with me to the cars, they were so adorable asking for candy and holding hands as they walked around..

First Day of School

Today was Aidans first day of preschool. I was so excited for him!

He was so excited he was dancing around the house.

Aidan was scared when we leaving, he started crying and tried to grab onto us. His teacher must of seen it alot, she grabbed him before he got us and we ran out the door. (Craig stayed behind to capture this picture)

First report card. This was the best seeing this in his folder... it sounds like he had a good day!

They learned about the letter "C" and they put it on thier arms so they will remember it. (I didn't know this at the time) When I took off his shirt to change him, I thought something was wrong with his arm and I kind of freaked out. He looked at me and said "Mom, it a C" This kid cracks me up!

Last but not least, his pumpkin wind tunnel. As soon as we got home he ran around looking to show it to Daddy, then he ran to his playroom and told me to put it up on a hook. It fits right in with his other Halloween decorations....

Craig bought the "trick" candles, and every time Aidan would blow them out and they would re-light, Aidan laughed so hard.. it was the funniest thing ever!

Here's a look at what you are up to at three:

I can not believe you are three already! Time has just flown by.. You have grown so much over the last year, it is amazing! I love you so much, and I am so thankful to be your mom.

Tonight we carved our "haul" from the pumpkin patch.

Aidan is very excited to start.

He told me he was riding a horsey.

Today was a rough day! I woke up at 4am to find Bruschi in my closet. Once I woke, I knew why. Thunderstorm. A big one. Right after Aidan woke up and was too afraid to go back to sleep so we went downstairs to the couch to watch a movie.

We ended up sleeping and putting around in the morning. After lunch we were going to run a few errands, but Early Intervention had switched our appointment and showed up. So Aidan and Peg went for thier walk around the neighborhood. Peg says she thinks she is with a six year old when she is with him. He listens so well, helps her, and shows her the way around the lake and our neighborhood.

After EI we ran our errands, and like I suspected he would, Aidan fell asleep right away.

After nap time Craig took Aidan on an ATV ride around the neighborhood.

The first weekend in August we went away for the first time without Aidan.

We had a great time, with great friends. Thank you Joe & Lora for inviting us to join you guys!

And below is when we picked up Aidan from my parents house. Apparently he was the "king" of their neighborhood for the weekend. Meeting new friends and playing non-stop. When I asked him if he was ready to come home with us, he said NO! We persuaded him to get in the Jeep, and he fell asleep as soon as we pulled of their street.

We finally got around to sprucing up the yard, and we had lots and lots of rock delivered. All Aidan talked about was getting his trucks and playing in the rocks. So we grabbed a dump truck full and out them on the deck for him to play with... Well, that was only good for a few minutes... so we let him have fun while daddy did all the work.

On June 17th I surprised Craig with tickets to Jimmy Buffet. For as long as I can remember I;ve always wanted to go to his concert, not for the music, but for the tailgating. I had always heard it was a sight to see. It did not disappoint!!

wishing a happy fathers to the greatest dad. aidan loves you so much and i just love watching you with him. i just love to see aidans face light up as he runs to the door yelling "daddy!" when you come home.

also, happy father day to craigs dad and my dad. i am thankful that aidan has two grandfathers that clearly love him very much and that will do what ever he wants to make him happy. (even when it means throwing a ball back and forth a million times, or taking him out to ride his bike)

we have new neighbors (sort of)

i noticed these cute little baby birds in their nest the other day. the mother bird will sit on the ground underneath the nest all day. when the birds pop tier heads up and tweet, she finds food and brings it up to them. aidan and i have really been enjoying watching these little birds and their mom.

about a month ago we were lucky enough to be invited to the braintree fire station for a tour. i knew aidan was going to LOVE this activity... and he sure did!

We have a new family member.. two actually. Two little frogs with no names, because 1. Aidan can't name them 2. Mom is not creative enough to come up with something other than "froggy", so thats what we call them.
They eat twice a week, and you have to clean the tank every few months. Talk about low maintanence!!

Aidan checks on his frogs all the time. He tried to share his applesauce with them but they weren't interested. (lucky for them, Aidan can't get the top of the tank off!!) We praised Aidan for being a good sharer though...we are getting to a new stage where everything is "mine". If another kid tries to come near him when he is holding a toy, he screams "NO!".

Now I am off to work after having 30 whole minutes to myself in peace and quiet. (Aidan and Daddy went to the Y. ) I used my time wisely, blog stalking and writing in my own blog...

I was trying to get a picture of Aidan and Bruschi together...this was the best I got.

Today we had our Early Intervention appt. Aidan is doing really well with is speech. Especially his imitating.

Here he is getting ready: Brushing teeth, washing up, and all that good stuff.

We had acontractor come to check out some things we are looking to get done around the house. I have so many things I want to do, we are trying to work on Aidans room first. He got the big boy bed put up over the weekend (crib will stay up until this weekend, we want to make sure he makes the transition first). We put up his curtains, and some decals. This weekend we will put up his closet door and all the other little decorating stuff. Hopefully I can get it all done this weekend, and post a picture. I was able to find the cutest stuff for his room!!

That about sums up our day... tonight is the season premiere of LOST. I can't wait! and back to work for me tomorrow night, can't wait for that either!!

friday randomness

Since we didn't do much during the day, other than our normal errands and stuff, I thought I would share some random pictures of Aidan being silly.

This actually was this morning, after the workout, he needed to put on his snow boots. Not to go outside but to watch tv. Watching tv is SO much better in boots!!
Every once in awhile he will grab a pillow and blanket and "pretend" to sleep on the bench in the kitchen. Sometimes I wonder where he comes up with tis stuff!

We are going out to dinner to our fav. mexican restaurant tonight with some friends.... Nana and Papa are babysitting Aidan...Two weekends in a row out alone... I don't believe it!!

In the morning I get up, make Aidan breakfast, plop him in front of the tv, and I set up my laptop and put in my workout DVD.

Aidan thought this looked too fun to miss out on, he grabbed my sneakers, a pair of weights and waited patiently for it to begin.

The other day we went to play with our friends....
We made these cute "grass heads" and Aidan is in love with his. We water him, and watch him as he sits on te window sill smiling back at us.

Hopefully we will get some sun, so we can see his hair grow!

When we were packing for our little trip up north, Aidan decided he wanted to get into the suitcase...

Today was a pretty uneventful day..other than cleaning my living room from top to bottom, and scrubbing down all the floors on the first floor. Aidan did help me out...as much as he loves to make messes, he likes to help me clean them.

This morning I found this in my microwave.
And then this...I asked Aidan what he was doing moving his toys out from the playroom, and he said "Go" I guess he wanted to go on vacation again?

We went out for breakfast. Aidan was using his forks as drums. I swear he is going to be a drummer when he grows up!

Next we headed to Aidans gymnastics class. I love this place...the girls are great with the kids, every time you go the equipment is set up differently, and they sing songs, play with toys, and do all sorts of fun gymnastics/gym type things.

After gym class we watched movies and football. Then after dinner had our own little dance party...

And watched Geo-trax train DVD ...While sitting on your blocks.

Today was a busy day for us... we went to the post office, the bank, got Aidans haircut, and visited grandpa.

Aidan loves to visit with grandpa so much that when I told it was time to put on his jacket because we had to go, he said "NO". That was a first!!

Something I really, REALLY want to do this year and in the future is to update my blog daily. Even if it is just a picture. I think it will be such a fun way for Aidan to see himself grow up. I looked back on our blog from the beginning and I am amazed at how much he has grown and changed. And I wished I blogged more....there is so many things he does on a daily basis that has Craig and I cracking up and our hearts melting. He is the sweetest, silliest, cutest and funnest little boy we could of ever hoped to have. (Is funnest even a word?)

Today was a pretty boring day around here...but sometimes we like that. Especially since Aidan and I both woke up with colds. Poor Aidan was coughing all night.

We ate breakfast....Aidan has made himself a new eating spot. He ate his breakfast and lunch here. For some reason he just "found" the tv under the cabinet and is in love with it. He turns it on, off, and changes the channels just for the fun of it.
Aidan stacked some spices. This little boy loves to stack everything. Blocks, spices, lipglosses..anything he can.

Then it was time for work. Aidan had his laptop set up next to mine.

Grandpa, We are starting him early on the drafting....pretty soon he will be able to help out!!

In the afternoon we watched Aidans Geo-Tracks Train movie twice, and bits and pieces of Monsters Inc and Finding Nemo while the snow fell. Looks like it will only be a dusting.

Daddy went night skiing, Aidan went to bed, and Mommy is trying to figure out what to give as a spiritual thought for Sundays YW meeting...but for some reason watching "Jersey Shore" is not helping me.
